Commercial Diving Medicals
For occupational divers, the nature of your medical exam may be dictated by your employer and/or their insurance company.
Having an occupational diving medical (AS2299.1) is common for workers in:
Offshore and inland commercial
Archaeology
Sports divers
Diving instructors
The test includes hearing and eyesight tests, urine test, lung function test, taking blood pressure and height and weight.
Any occupational tests may involve a myriad of extra tests, with most involving a physical examination entailing an exercise test and a full blood count.
You may also need to have a chest X-ray and in some circumstances ECG.
Travel and Dive Medicine also undertake Recreational Diving Medicals Examinations.
